Who can join?
- Muslims over the age of 16 years living in Manchester can join the group upon request. There are separate groups of brothers and sisters.
- Members will be asked to complete a basic questionnaire with name, gender, mobile number and local masjid before joining. This will helps us authenticate your membership, maintain group integrity, create a sense of accountability, prevent spammers and those with a malicious intent from joining
How to ask your question?
- You can ask any question that may arise in your day to day practice of Islam, Islamic beliefs, or any other question you feel the Ulama are able to answer.
- You can text or send a voice note.
- Please provide as much information as possible when asking for a fatwa. Frame your question carefully.
Who will answer?
- The answers will be given in the form of text or audio exclusively by one of the Ulama.
- No one else is permitted to respond to a question on the group.
- Admin members may share previous answers for repeated questions.
How soon will you get your answers?
- Every effort will be made to respond to the questions as soon as possible. There may be a delay due to teachers’ unavailability, need to refer to a Mufti or review of sources.
- If you haven’t received a response in 5 days, then do send a polite reminder just in case your question was missed.
What is not permitted?
- Sharing or forwarding any material is strictly NOT permitted on the groups, no matter how useful you may think it is for the general public. This includes Qurʾānic āyāt, aḥādīth, duʿās, polls, breaking news, appeals for charitable donations etc…
- Do not send unsolicited or promotional messages privately to unknown members added in the group. Please respect their privacy.
- Please do not engage in any conversation with the other members on the group.
- Some answers you receive will be specific to the individual or the circumstance and may not be suitable for general distribution. Should you wish to forward the answers to your contacts please consider carefully if it is appropriate or ask the teacher.
- Greetings on special occasions: One member’s message will suffice on behalf of the entire group. No need to repeat the greetings.
These terms of use are in place to help run the group effectively without distraction so that everyone draws maximum benefit. Members violating this rule could be removed from the group with or without warning.
